Fishing & Safety Disclaimer
Vobbl is a logging, planning, and reference tool for recreational anglers. It is not a certified source of fishing regulations, safety guidance, or environmental conditions. Please read the following before relying on the App while fishing.
Regulations
Fishing laws — including license requirements, bag and size limits, closed seasons, gear restrictions, and protected/invasive species rules — vary by state, province, water body, and change over time. Any regulation, limit, or species information shown in Vobbl is for general reference only and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always verify current regulations with your state or provincial wildlife agency before fishing.
Weather, Water, and Solunar Data
Weather, water temperature, and solunar (best-time-to-fish) data displayed in the App comes from third-party providers and automated calculations. This data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. It is not a substitute for official marine/weather forecasts or your own on-site judgment, especially in conditions affecting safety (storms, high water, ice).
On-the-Water Safety
Fishing, boating, and wading carry inherent risks, including drowning, hypothermia, and injury. Vobbl does not monitor your safety in real time and cannot alert emergency services on your behalf. Always follow standard water-safety practices (life jackets, informing others of your plans, checking conditions) regardless of what the App shows.
Species Identification
Species identification suggestions (including fuzzy/automatic icon matching) are provided for convenience and are not a substitute for your own identification skills, especially where misidentifying a protected, invasive, or inedible species has legal or health consequences.
No Liability
Use of any information in Vobbl for regulatory compliance, trip planning, or on-the-water decisions is at your own risk. See the Limitation of Liability section of the Terms of Service for the legal terms that apply.
